West Virginia State Trooper Eric Workman was killed in the line of duty in August of 2012. Eric chose that profession to give back and to protect his home state, instead of following a star baseball career into the majors. The Trooper Eric Workman Foundation was created after the first memorial musky fishing tournament was held in Eric's name in 2013.
